![]() As before, don’t use Double Jumps as they make you spend too long in the air. From there you’ll need to quickly jump across a series of platforms in quick succession as they retract right from under you. Grab ‘em! Return outside, then jump right onto the lift. Once you get to the other side, a door will open up revealing a room with Wumpa Fruit and four Boxes. To minimize falling off, try keeping as close to the wall as possible. These are moving very quickly, so you really don’t have any time to use Double Jumps. Now head right to start going across the wooden platforms. Wait for the TNT Box to explode, then Belly Flop the Locked Boxes. Wait for the Inferno Box to turn off before Sliding under them. Spin the Yokai guarding the bridge, then approach the boxes at the opposite side. Smash it, then approach the next bridge to get to Checkpoint 3. Stop at the end of the bridge and the camera will move far enough for you to see a Box on your left that would normally be obscured by the building. Once you land on the bridge, break the four boxes on the left side, then cross over. Jump up the waterfall via the platform with the Box on it, then jump across two more Teeth Lilypads, smashing the two Boxes above the second one as you go. Run around the corner with the Wall Run panels, then grab the eight Wumpa Fruit above the Teeth Lilypad. Smash the Aku Aku box, then Double Jump backwards to land on the ? Box in the water, allowing you to Double Jump back. Smash the box tower on the left, then use the Wall Run panel to get onto the lilypads. After smashing them, ride the next vent up and Wall Run again, landing on a bridge with the next Checkpoint. On the other side, smash the boxes, Spin the Yokai on the bridge, then ride up the vent and Wall run to the right, leaping off onto a platform with four Boxes on it. When they get to the end of the surface, they’ll start visibly slipping, meaning it’s time to jump off! It’s also worth noting that they can still Spin on the wall, handy for clearing out boxes that are in the way. Wall Run surfaces are marked with the chevron arrows: just jump onto the surface and Crash / Coco will automatically run along it. Here is a brand new mechanic: the Wall Run. Next jump up the steps with the two boxes on it and turn right. Spin away the Yokai, then Slide under the TNT to take out the ? Box before tripping the TNT itself. Try the demo and see for yourself. An astral finale! To begin, go right around the tree to smash three boxes, then hit three more on the opposite side. One player controls Lara, the other Totec, Xolotl's nemesis and the titular "Guardian of Light." Long-time Lara fans who've dreamed of playing with a friend will have a blast exploring, fighting and helping each other navigate fiendish traps to snag that elusive artifact or relic. The single-player campaign is great, but co-op mode is where this game really shines. This time it's an ancient Aztec artifact, the Mirror of Smoke, and the villain is a Mesoamerican demon called Xolotl. Basically it's another powerful-item-about-to-fall-into-the-wrong-hands-until-Lara-steps-in kind of thing. ![]() ![]() It's pretty light in the story department, but no more so than any of the classic Tomb Raiders. There's no third-person camera and very little solitary exploration, but it does have some similar features: well-designed levels challenging puzzles a perfect balance between puzzle solving, platforming and combat a few tough bosses lots of items to collect and challenges that encourage replay.and of course Lara. It's not Tomb Raider, nor does it claim to be. It's not every player's cup of tea, but I can say without hesitation that it's one of the best games I've played in a long time. Game Info: Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is quite different from the main Tomb Raider series. (The Core Online browser-based version has been discontinued).
